Friendswood Development describes Porter Ranch as a small, private enclave. Confirmed amenities include a neighborhood lake, a park, and playground areas. The exact number of homes built, total acreage, and the community’s original construction start date are not published anywhere we could confirm, so we are leaving those figures out rather than guess at them.

Porter Ranch is served by Harris County MUD 449. The district’s own published 2025 tax rate is $0.94 per $100 of valuation, made up of $0.50 debt service and $0.44 maintenance. Planned amenities include a recreation center, pool, pavilion, playground, and walking trails.
